Connect a custom email domain
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Connect your own domain so your email campaigns send from a branded address, such as partnerships@yourbrand.com. You add three CNAME records where your domain's DNS is hosted, verify the domain in Euka, and then create sender addresses on it.
Why use it
You want creators to see your brand in the address your outreach comes from. Once your domain is verified, any campaign can send from an address on it, and you can add more than one address.
Where to find it
- Settings > Outreach > Email domains lists your domains and their status: verified, pending, or failed. Click a domain to see its DNS records.
- You can also start from Outreach > Email Campaigns: Manage Addresses > Add Email > Use your custom domain. It walks through the same steps and creates your first address at the end.
Who can use it
Every plan.
How to connect a domain
- In Settings > Outreach > Email domains, click Add Domain.
- Enter your domain, such as yourbrand.com, or a subdomain, such as mail.yourbrand.com, and click Continue. You'll see three CNAME records, each with a Host and a Value to copy.
- Add all three records at the provider that hosts your domain's DNS.
- Click Verify. If the records aren't live yet, click Verify Later, then come back and click Verify on the domain's row.
- Once the domain shows verified, click Add Email on its row.
- Fill in Email Address, Sender Name, Reply-To Email, and Daily Sending Limit, and click Create Email. The address then appears under Manage Addresses, and you can pick it as a sender in any campaign.
To add another address on the same domain, click Add Email again.
The records
With your own domain and the numbers we give you, the hosts look like this:
| Record | Host |
|---|---|
| Main domain CNAME for email sending | em1234.yourbrand.com |
| DKIM signature record 1 | euk._domainkey.yourbrand.com |
| DKIM signature record 2 | euk2._domainkey.yourbrand.com |
Copy each host and value exactly as Euka shows them. The DKIM records use the selector euk, so they sit alongside any DKIM records your domain already has for other email services. Keep those.
When you click a domain in Email domains, the list also shows a DMARC record: a TXT record at _dmarc.yourbrand.com (on your main domain, even if you connected a subdomain) with the value v=DMARC1; p=none;. It's marked as recommended, to help your emails reach the inbox, but you don't need it to verify the domain.
A domain should have only one DMARC record. If yours already has one, keep it rather than adding this one.
Rules and limits
- All three CNAME records must be live on the public internet before verification succeeds. Saving them in a DNS panel that doesn't control your domain isn't enough.
- We check the records only when you click Verify, and we don't check again on our own.
- DNS changes usually show up within 5 to 30 minutes, but can take up to 48 hours.
- A new address can send 100 emails a day to start, and you can raise that to 1,000. See Email campaigns.
- Creators' replies go to your Reply-To Email, so it must be a mailbox that receives mail: a Gmail account connected in Settings > Messages > Email accounts, or an address on a domain that accepts email.
What we don't control
Your DNS provider's screens are its own. These notes describe them as of September 2026.
- Add the records where your DNS is hosted. Records count only at the provider your domain's nameservers point to, so if your domain uses Cloudflare's nameservers, records added at your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, and so on) have no effect. To find your DNS host, look up your domain's NS records with a DNS lookup tool such as dnschecker.org.
- Turn off Cloudflare's proxy. On Cloudflare, set each of the three records to DNS only (gray cloud), not Proxied (orange cloud).
- Watch for the domain being added twice. Many providers add your domain to the host for you, so where Euka shows
euk._domainkey.yourbrand.com, you enter onlyeuk._domainkey. Entering the full name there createseuk._domainkey.yourbrand.com.yourbrand.com, which never verifies. Some providers want the full name instead, so check how the saved record looks, and remove a trailing dot if your provider adds one.
When something goes wrong
- Verification failed, "Please check your DNS configuration and try again.": at least one record isn't live or doesn't match. Check each one:
- In a DNS lookup tool, set the record type to CNAME and search the full host Euka shows, such as
em1234.yourbrand.com. - Most locations should return the value Euka shows. Repeat for all three records.
- When all three are right, click Verify again.
- In a DNS lookup tool, set the record type to CNAME and search the full host Euka shows, such as
- A record returns nothing: it isn't live. It was added at a provider that doesn't host your DNS, it's proxied, its host contains your domain twice, or the change hasn't spread yet.
- All three records resolve but verification still fails: contact us at support@euka.ai with a screenshot of your DNS provider's records page.
- Failed to add domain, with "Domain already exists: … is already registered" or "Parent domain … is verified by another user": the domain, or the domain it belongs to, is already connected to Euka. Contact us at support@euka.ai.
- Reply-To Email is rejected, for example "Your sending domain cannot receive email" or "cannot receive email (no MX records found)": choose a mailbox that receives mail, such as a connected Gmail account.
FAQs
Why do I need to add DNS records?
They prove you own the domain and let us send email signed for it, which helps your emails reach creators' inboxes.
Does adding the records give Euka access to my domain or email admin?
No. The records only let us send authenticated email from your domain. We don't sign in to your DNS provider, Google Workspace, or Microsoft 365.
Should I use my main domain or a subdomain?
Either works. The setup recommends a subdomain, such as mail.yourbrand.com, to keep your main domain's sending reputation separate. If that subdomain doesn't receive email, set Reply-To Email to an address that does.
How long does verification take?
We check as soon as you click Verify. A record you just added may need 5 to 30 minutes, and occasionally up to 48 hours, before it's visible, so wait and click Verify again.
Do I need the DMARC record?
Not to verify the domain. We list it as recommended, to help your emails reach the inbox. If your domain already has a DMARC record, keep that one.
