Meta Ads: setup, program, and payouts

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Meta Ads lets you run licensed creator videos, the ones you have permission to use in your own ads, as Facebook and Instagram ads. Through a creator program, you pay creators a commission on those ads.

How we credit each ad to a creator's video is explained in Meta Ads: linking ads to creator videos.

Why use it

Paying creators a commission on Meta ads means you have to know which ad uses whose video, what each ad spent and sold, and what each creator is owed. Meta Ads does that tracking for you. You connect your Meta Business account, invite creators to enroll, create ads from their videos, and follow performance and payouts in Euka.

Where to find it

Go to Ads > Meta Ads. The same page is also in Settings > Integrations > Meta.

Two sections sit at the top:

  • Commission due is the commission that's ready to pay. Click it to open Ads > Usage Rights > Pending Payment.
  • Payments expected is an estimate of the commission for periods that aren't ready to bill yet. Click it to see those dates in Performance.

Below them are the tabs:

Tab What it shows
Performance Spend, sales, and commission for each creator
Ads Program Your creator program: enrolled creators, the invite link, and Program setup
Ads The ads synced from your Meta ad accounts, and the creator video each one uses
Auto Links Ads we linked to a video by matching footage, for you to review

The gear at the top right of the page opens Meta account: your Meta connection, sync status, Refresh, and which ad accounts you see.

Who can use it

On Growth, Business, and Autopilot, you can turn Meta Ads on yourself. On Starter and Pro, the page asks you to upgrade first.

Meta Ads also needs an active subscription. See Plans and limits.

Price

Meta Ads is free for your first 30 days: a payout period that starts within 30 days of turning it on has no platform fee. After that, we add a 1.5% platform fee to each percentage payout, worked out on what the creator's commission is based on: the sales or the ad spend (as of September 2026). On $2,000 in sales, that's $30.

The Autopilot plan has no platform fee. Invoices show the fee as Platform fee, and paying by card adds a 5% processing fee (at least $1), worked out on the payouts plus the platform fee: see Invoices, wallet, and payment methods.

How to turn on Meta Ads

If Meta Ads isn't on for your brand, Ads > Meta Ads shows a sign-up page instead. On Starter and Pro, that page asks you to upgrade your plan first. On Growth, Business, and Autopilot:

  1. Tick the box to agree to the platform fee (see Price, above).
  2. Click Enable Meta Ads. Meta Ads turns on straight away.

How to connect your Meta Business account

  1. In Ads > Meta Ads, click Connect Meta Ads.
  2. Sign in to Meta.
  3. Choose what to share, and keep every permission switched on. Meta lists the branded content ads permission on its own, and partnership ads (ads that run with a creator's Instagram account) need it.
  4. If your Meta login manages more than one Instagram account, choose the one creators see partnership ad requests from. Ads you create from Euka also run under that account.

You see Meta Ads Connected, and we start the first sync. Your ad accounts appear in Meta account, behind the gear at the top right of the page.

How to set up the creator program

Publish your Brand HQ first. Creators enroll from it, and your invite link uses its address. See Brand HQ.

  1. Open Ads Program and click Program setup.
  2. Under Commission, choose the Compensation basis. The options are explained under Compensation basis, below.
  3. In the same section, choose the Payment schedule, the payment terms you give creators: Net 30, Net 60, or Net 90.
  4. Under Payout terms, choose how creators are paid:
    • Same for everyone: enter a Commission (%) and, if you want, a Max payout per video.
    • By creator tier: each tier of creators gets its own rate, based on the lifetime revenue they've driven for your brand. You set the tiers up once for your brand.
  5. If you want, turn on or add any of these:
    • Always pay commission, under Commission, which pays commission on an enrolled creator's videos even when you already hold free rights to them from contests, marketplace campaigns, or Spark Codes (codes from creators that let you run their videos as ads).
    • Request Partnership Ads permission, under Partnership Ads, so creators can let you run partnership ads with their Instagram account.
    • Terms & conditions, under Terms, as a PDF or custom text.
    • Private program, under General, with an Access password.
  6. Click Save & enable program. General shows the status Live, and the Ads Program tab shows Live with your terms.
  7. Share your Invite link, shown on the Ads Program tab and under General: https://creators.euka.ai/invite/ followed by your Brand HQ address. Or click Invite creators > Invite via Euka DM on the Ads Program tab to send an invite card in the Euka creator app.

Creators open your Brand HQ, click Enroll Now, read your terms, and click Confirm. They then appear in the creators table on the Ads Program tab, with the videos covered and what they have earned.

Compensation basis

For the sales bases, Meta or Triple Whale decides which ad gets credit for each sale. This is called attribution.

Compensation basis Commission is a percentage of
Meta Ad Spend What you spend on ads that use the creator's video
Meta Website Sales Website purchases Meta attributes to those ads
Meta Attributed Sales All purchases Meta attributes to those ads
Triple Whale Last-Click Sales Orders Triple Whale credits to those ads as the last click
Triple Whale First-Click Sales Orders Triple Whale credits to those ads as the first click

The two Triple Whale bases need Triple Whale connected in Settings > Integrations > Triple Whale. With it connected, Performance also shows TW Sales.

What you get when a creator enrolls

A creator who enrolls gives you the rights to their TikTok videos tagged to your Shop, including new ones as they post them. You also get the rights to any video they upload to Euka while enrolled. The videos appear in Licensed Content.

How to remove a creator

  1. Open Ads Program.
  2. Click ⋯ at the end of the creator's row, then Remove from program.

Their enrollment ends at once. Their new videos are no longer licensed, and you lose the rights to the videos that came through the program: they leave Licensed Content and can no longer be downloaded or used in new Meta ads. Ads you're already running on those videos keep running, and keep paying the creator their commission and billing you for it, until you stop them in Ads Manager. Videos licensed one by one, or through campaigns and contests, aren't affected. If they enroll again, their program videos come back. For a creator who left before 7 October 2026, commission stopped on the day they left.

Any Instagram partnership ad permission is revoked, and the creator gets an email and a message in the Euka creator app. Creators can also leave on their own, and their videos and commission are handled the same way.

How to end the program

  1. Open Ads Program, click Program setup, and go to General.
  2. Under End Ads Program, click End program, then confirm.

Ending the program removes every creator and revokes their partnership ad permissions. You lose the rights to the videos that came through the program: they leave Licensed Content and can no longer be downloaded or used in new Meta ads.

Videos licensed one by one, or through campaigns and contests, aren't affected. Ads you're already running on program videos keep running, and keep paying their creators and billing you, until you stop them in Ads Manager. If you turn the program on again later, every creator has to enroll again.

How to create ads

You create ads in Ads > Licensed Content. Pick the videos there, and the Create ads builder takes you through the rest.

To start the builder:

  • From one video: click Upload on its row, then Create ad.
  • From several: tick the videos, click Upload selected, then Create ads for selected.
  • From everything your filters match: click Upload all, then Create ads for all.

If your pick covers more than one product, we check with you first: every ad in one build shares the same copy and the same destination URL, so one product per build usually reads better. Back to selection lets you narrow it, and Continue anyway carries on.

The builder has four steps, and a Selected videos panel beside them where you can drop a video you've changed your mind about.

  1. Campaign & ad set. Pick the Ad account, the Campaign, and the Ad set (the group inside a campaign that holds the ad). We tell you how many ads that ad set already holds. Then write the Ad name: type { to drop in the Product, the Creator's handle, the Date you build the ads, or the Identity (Partnership or Brand), and Preview shows the names you'll get. Turn Partnership ads on to run each ad under its creator's Instagram account where they've given permission; the rest run from your brand page, and we say how many are eligible.
  2. Ad creative. Write the Primary text, and if you want, a Headline and a Description. Each field has an add button (Add text option, Add headline option, Add description option) that takes you to 5 options, and Meta shows different combinations to different people and leans into what works. Copy template fills all three from a set you saved before, and Save copy as template keeps what you've typed for next time.
  3. Ad destination. Give the Destination URL every ad points to, and pick the Button. We add nothing to your URL.
  4. Review. Check the ad name, identity, and copy for every video, then click the create button, which counts them for you ("Create 12 ads").

The ads are built in the background, and their progress shows in the corner. They're all created paused, so nothing spends until you turn them on in Meta Ads Manager.

To build an ad yourself in Meta Ads Manager instead, click Upload to media library. That only uploads the video to your ad account.

We name each ad with your text, then an underscore and the video's ID, such as "Summer launch_7689207078497422605". The ID is how we link the ad's results back to the creator, so don't type a video ID into the name yourself. Leave the name empty and we use "Euka ad".

Performance

Performance is the tab that opens first. Its sections total Spend, Attributed Sales (purchases Meta attributes to your ads), Impressions, Reach, and Clicks for the dates you pick.

The table has one row per creator: linked videos, ads, spend, Total sales, TW Sales if Triple Whale is connected, Earned, and the commission. Expand a creator to see each video, and a video to see each ad.

Creators start sorted by Spend, highest first. Click Spend, Total sales, or Earned to sort by that column, then click it again to reverse the order. The arrow shows the current direction. Sorting covers all matching creators, across every page. When sorting by Earned, creators whose commission shows — stay at the end in either direction.

You can filter by Source, which is how you got the rights, and by date range. There's no ROAS (return on ad spend) column, so compare spend with total sales.

How payouts work

  • Commission is counted in 7-day periods. A period becomes billable 8 days after it ends, which leaves time for sales Meta attributes late.
  • Commission that's ready shows under Commission due and in Ads > Usage Rights > Pending Payment, where you pay it.
  • You can also have it invoiced automatically: see Automatic invoicing for usage rights. For paying for rights in general, see Usage rights.
  • If some ads were linked by matching footage, Pending Payment reminds you to review them before you pay. They're in Auto Links.
  • Creators see what's coming as upcoming earnings in the Euka creator app, and they can withdraw it once you've paid. See Earnings and withdrawals.

Rules and limits

  • You can have one Meta connection per store. To use a different Meta account, disconnect first: open Meta account from the gear at the top right of the page, open the menu next to Refresh, and click Disconnect.
  • We sync your Meta ads once a day. Each sync re-reads the last 9 days of results, so we pick up sales Meta attributes late.
  • Refresh in Meta account (Refresh all when you're viewing several ad accounts) syncs now. Until the first sync is done, Meta account shows Sync Meta Ads data.
  • Reach over several days is an estimate. Each day is synced on its own, so the same person can be counted on more than one day.
  • In Meta account, you choose which ad accounts appear in Ads and Performance. Once you save, only we can show a hidden account again, so contact us at support@euka.ai if you need one back.
  • With Same for everyone, changes to your terms apply to new enrollments only, and enrolled creators keep the terms they joined under. With By creator tier, each payout uses your tiers as they are when it's prepared. A custom rate for one creator (Change terms in the ⋯ menu on their row in Ads Program) overrides both.
  • Max payout per video is a lifetime total for each video. The ad can keep running after a video reaches it, but the creator stops earning on that video.
  • A Private program doesn't show to creators browsing Euka. Creators need your invite link and the password to see its enrollment section on your Brand HQ.
  • Creating ads makes up to 100 ads per run, all paused. It needs an Instagram business account linked to a Facebook Page, and your Meta user needs permission to advertise on that Page.
  • A build takes up to 100 videos. Past that, Euka asks you to narrow the filters or tick fewer videos.
  • An ad takes up to 5 primary texts, 5 headlines, and 5 descriptions. Each one has to be different from the others in its field. One primary text on its own can run to 2,200 characters; as soon as any field has more than one option, each primary text is capped at 1,024. Headlines and descriptions are capped at 255.
  • The ad name you type can be up to 120 characters. The video ID comes on top of that.
  • Only ad accounts that are active in Meta can take new ads, so those are the only ones the builder lists.

What we don't control

  • Spend, sales, reach, and attribution come from Meta, and Triple Whale's figures come from Triple Whale. We show their numbers and work out commission from them.
  • Meta caps how many ads an ad set can hold and rejects every ad past the cap. Meta documents 50, and allows more on some accounts (as of September 2026). When you create ads for several videos in an ad set that already holds 50 or more, we warn you first.
  • Creators approve partnership ad requests in Instagram, under Messages, then Requests (as of September 2026).

When something goes wrong

What you see What it means What to do
Connection Failed: "This store already has an active Meta connection…" Your store is already connected to a Meta account. Disconnect it in Meta account (the gear at the top right), then connect again.
Re-connect at the top of the page Your Meta connection has expired. Click it and sign in to Meta again.
Re-authorize at the top of the page A permission we need is switched off. Click it and keep every permission switched on.
Connect Meta Business to enable partnership ads, or Grant the branded content permission to enable partnership ads Partnership ad requests to creators would be rejected. Reconnect Meta with every permission on, including branded content ads.
Publish your Brand HQ to enable payouts Creators enroll from your Brand HQ, and it isn't published. Click Go to Brand HQ and publish it.
Triple Whale sync is failing — creator commission payouts are paused Triple Whale sales stopped syncing, so commission on a Triple Whale basis can't be worked out. Click Fix connection. Updating your Triple Whale API key usually fixes it.
"Your Meta connection has no linked Instagram Business account…" or "No Facebook Page linked to your Instagram Business account was found." when you create an ad Ads need an Instagram business account linked to your Facebook Page. Link one to your Page in Meta, then reconnect Meta.
"Your Meta user lacks the ADVERTISE permission on the linked Facebook Page." The Meta user you connected with can't advertise for that Page. Ask a Page admin to give that user advertise access, then try again.
A bulk run creates no ads The ad set may be full. Choose a different ad set.
"Meta did not generate a thumbnail for this video, so its ad could not be created." on one video in a run Meta took the video but never made a cover image for it, so we stopped waiting on it. The other ads in the run were still created. Upload the video to the media library and build that one ad in Meta Ads Manager, or contact us at support@euka.ai.
One video in a run fails with a message from Meta about a limit Meta has a daily and an hourly cap on new ads, and your account reached it. Nothing is wrong with the video. Wait for Meta's cap to reset, then create the rest.

FAQs

Do the ads Euka creates go live straight away?

No. We create them paused, so you can check them in Meta Ads Manager and turn them on there.

I changed my commission. Do creators already enrolled get the new rate?

Not on Same for everyone. Enrolled creators stay on the terms they joined under, and only new enrollments get the change.

On By creator tier, your current tiers apply to each payout. To change one enrolled creator's rate, give them a custom rate.

What happens to a creator's videos when they leave the program?

You lose the rights to the videos that came through the program, and they leave Licensed Content. Videos licensed one by one, or through campaigns and contests, stay. Their new videos aren't licensed, and you can't create new ads from the old ones. Ads already running keep paying the creator and billing you until you stop them, so stop the ads in Ads Manager if you want the commission to end. If they enroll again, their program videos come back and new enrollments use the program's current terms.

Why are yesterday's numbers missing or still changing?

We sync once a day and re-read the last 9 days each time, because Meta keeps attributing sales to recent days. Click Refresh in Meta account (the gear at the top right of the page) to sync now.

How much does Meta Ads cost?

It's free for your first 30 days. After that, the platform fee is 1.5% of the sales or ad spend each percentage payout is based on, on top of what you pay the creator. There's no platform fee on the Autopilot plan.

Why does Meta Ads ask me to upgrade?

You can turn Meta Ads on yourself on Growth, Business, and Autopilot. On Starter or Pro, the page asks you to move to one of those plans first.

When do I pay creators?

Each 7-day period is ready to pay 8 days after it ends. It then shows under Commission due and in Ads > Usage Rights > Pending Payment, or it's invoiced automatically if you've set that up.
