Usage rights

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Usage rights are a creator's permission for you to use their TikTok video outside TikTok, such as in your Meta ads or on your website, on the terms you offer. You send the offer from Euka, the creator answers it in the Euka creator app, and a video with active rights goes to your Licensed Content library.

Why use it

To run a creator's video in your Meta ads or put it on your website, you need their permission first. Usage rights let you ask for it on the terms you offer, then keep track of who agreed, what's waiting on you, and what you've paid.

Where to find it

Who can use it

Every plan.

How to request usage rights

  1. Go to Content > Videos.
  2. For one video, click Request Usage in its Usage Rights column or in its details. For several, tick them and click Request Usage at the top.
  3. Fill in the offer. The preview shows the TikTok DM and the Offer Page as the creator will see them.
  4. Click Send Request, or Send offers for several videos.

When you send several, we skip videos with an offer waiting, a payment pending, or active rights. Copilot can also send requests for you, after it asks for your approval.

What goes in the offer

  • Send Via: always TikTok Shop DM. Tick Email and SMS to add those. They reach creators we have an email address for.
  • Template: start from a saved template, or click Save as template to reuse this offer.
  • Compensation Type: what the creator gets. The options are in the table below.
  • Duration: a number of Months, or Lifetime.
  • Message: goes in the TikTok Shop DM, with a link to the offer.
  • Include Terms & Conditions: PDFs the creator must read and agree to before accepting.
Compensation Type What the creator gets
Flat Fee A one-time amount in USD.
Free No payment. The creator only approves the terms.
Meta Ad Spend / Sales A % share of Meta Attributed Sales or Meta Ad Spend, calculated weekly for each video. With Triple Whale connected, it can be a share of Triple Whale Last-Click Sales or Triple Whale First-Click Sales instead.

An optional Max payout caps the total a Meta Ad Spend / Sales offer pays out, and ads can keep running after it's reached.

What happens next

The creator opens the offer in the Euka creator app and clicks Accept or Decline. If they decline, they can say what they're looking for.

  • Free and Meta Ad Spend / Sales offers are active once the creator accepts.
  • A Flat Fee offer waits in Pending Payment, and is active once you pay it.
  • If the creator hasn't answered an offer 14 days after you sent or last changed it, it's marked declined and moves to Negotiating. You can send a new one from there.
  • On a percentage deal, each week's payout comes due in Pending Payment, based on the ads that use the video. See Meta Ads: setup, program, and payouts and Meta Ads: linking ads to creator videos.

How to change, add to, or renew an offer

Open the request in Ads > Usage Rights, or with View Request in Content > Videos. Then pick what you need:

  • Send Higher Offer: raise an offer that's still waiting for an answer.
  • Increase Payout or Increase Terms: raise an accepted flat fee that isn't paid yet, or the share and Max payout of a percentage deal that has one.
  • Request Additional Rights: add a separate flat-fee agreement. The active rights stay in place.
  • Renew Usage Rights: offer new terms once rights have expired.

  5. Click Confirm Payment. It's charged right away.

Percentage payouts also carry our platform fee: see Meta Ads: setup, program, and payouts. The payment method decides the processing fee:

Payment method Fee
Card A 5% processing fee (at least $1), worked out on the payouts plus any platform fee.
US bank account No fee. Its payouts show Bank Processing for the 3 to 5 business days it takes to settle.

To bill percentage payouts every 7 days instead, see Automatic invoicing for usage rights.

Rules and limits

  • Sending offers needs your TikTok Shop connected, with the Euka TikTok Shop app authorized.
  • Meta Ad Spend / Sales needs Meta connected. The Triple Whale bases also need Triple Whale connected, in Settings > Integrations > Triple Whale.
  • You can attach up to 5 PDF files of Terms & Conditions, 10 MB each.
  • You can pay a creator only once they've joined Euka and connected TikTok.
  • A payment must come to at least $1, and can't come from Euka Balance.

What we don't control

  • TikTok delivers the DM and applies its own messaging limits. See Outreach limits: TikTok and your plan.
  • Percentage payouts use the ad spend and sales that Meta or Triple Whale report.

When something goes wrong

  • "TikTok Shop App Authorization Required", or Authorize to Use instead of Request Usage: authorize the Euka TikTok Shop app for your store. See Connect your TikTok Shop.
  • No Meta Ad Spend / Sales option: connect Meta first. See Meta Ads: setup, program, and payouts.
  • "(connect Triple Whale in Settings)" next to a basis: connect Triple Whale, then open the offer again.
  • "Not payable yet": the creator hasn't joined Euka and connected TikTok. You can pay your other creators in the meantime.
  • "On invoice": the payout is on an automatic invoice. Pay it from Invoices.
